California does not publish the number of test questions nor the passing score. According to Blueprint for Becoming a California Licensed Contractor, "You will be informed at the test site about the percentage of correct answers needed to pass each examination." This is also the source of the 2 1/2 hour time limit. If you find that this information is wrong please notify us at webmaster@contractorexam.com.

In California you must also pass a Law and Business Exam unless you are already a licensed contractor who is adding a classification to your license.
