Exam content is not being published for this trade by the licensing board at this time All companies applying for a commercial trade license, must have had at least one qualifying party pass the Business and Law Exam as one of the requirements for approval of the license.

Reference Books NOT Permitted in the Exam

1. Rigging for Commercial Construction, 1983, Resource Sytems International, published by Reston Publishing. 2. Structural Manual for Ironworkers, Manual V, Volume I, International Association of Bridge, Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers, AFL-CIO and U.S. Department of Labor. 3. Code of Federal Regulations, Title 29, Part 1926 (OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry), July 2006. 4. Construction Plant Excavating Materials Handling Equipment and Methods, 1981, Frank Harris.   According to the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors, "The 'trade' examinations are based upon general working knowledge of the field in which you wish to be licensed." In their study guide, the Board states that the reference materials listed "may NOT necessarily cover all information needed to pass the exam." The study guide also states that "the reference list contains a representative sample of materials that are available which contain information relevant to the examination."

We currently do not offer study materials for this trade based on demand and the cost prohibitive nature of the reference books.
