Exam content is not being published for this trade by the licensing board at this time All companies applying for a commercial trade license, must have had at least one qualifying party pass the Business and Law Exam as one of the requirements for approval of the license.

The Pipe Fitter's and Pipe Welder's Handbook, Thomas W. Frankland. 5. The Piping Guide: For the Design and Drafting of Industrial Piping Systems, Dennis J. Whistance, David R. Sherwood. 6. Piping Handbook, Mohinder L. Nayyar. 7. Pipe Welding Procedures, 1973, Hoobasar Rampaul. 8. Underground Piping Handbook, 1984, Lawrence A. Peggs. According to the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors, "The 'trade' examinations are based upon general working knowledge of the field in which you wish to be licensed." In their study guide, the Board states that the reference materials listed "may NOT necessarily cover all information needed to pass the exam." The study guide also states that "the reference list contains a representative sample of materials that are available which contain information relevant to the examination."
