Passing Score: 70%


Fire Alarm Technical Test
(TFM12)
Identifying the correct applicable NFPA standard
Definition of types of equipment and circuits
Selection of the proper type wire and cable
Operating principles of various type detectors
Location and limitation for the spacing of:
detection devices, notification devices
Principles, requirements, installation and use of:
detection circuits, supervisory circuits, notification circuits
Requirements and frequency for testing of alarms

Passing Score: 70%

The Fire Alarm Technical test (TFM12) may be substituted
with a NICET Level II certification. All NICET tests are
administered by the National Institute for Certification in
Engineering Technologies (NICET).
