General Info
Licensing requirements are for A (Engineering), B (Building), C (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Specialties), Journeyman (General and Residential Electrical), and HIS (Home Improvement Salesperson) classifications.
Reciprocity
If you hold a valid contractors license in Arizona, Nevada or Utah, you may be able to get a California Contractors License without taking the trade portion of the exam.  Applicants must still qualify by taking and passing the Business and Law Examination.  For a complete list for all three states check the Reciprical Classifications List.
