Kansas
License Exam Preparation

General Info
Kansas does not issue contractors licenses at the state level. Some cities or counties do require a license for General Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical. You may go to THIS LINK to see a list of municipalities requiring a license.  If your city/county does not require a license, Registration with the Department of Revenue is required.  Before you can become licensed, all required exams must be passed.  Exams are administered by Prometric.  A Business and Law exam is required, as well as your trade portion.
Reciprocity
Check with the local municipality you want to do business with to see if your license is reciprocal.  This applies not only to out-of-state licenses, but from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
