Kansas
License Exam Preparation
|
| General Info |
| Kansas does not issue contractors licenses at the state level. Some
cities or counties do require a license for General Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical.
You may go to THIS LINK
to see a list of municipalities requiring a license. If your city/county does not require a license,
Registration with the Department of Revenue is required. Before you can become licensed, all required
exams must be passed. Exams are administered by Prometric. A Business and Law exam
is required, as well as your trade portion. |
| Reciprocity |
| Check with the local municipality you want to do business with to
see if your license is reciprocal. This applies not only to out-of-state licenses, but from jurisdiction
to jurisdiction. |
