License Exam Preparation
|
| General Info |
| Licenses are not issued at the state level for building contractors.
Please check with your local municipality to see if they require a license. Contractors must be
registered with the State Attorney General. Licenses are issued for electrical, plumbing, HVACR
and Home Improvement contracting. Contact the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing
for information. |
| Reciprocity |
| Electrical – None at this time,
however, you may contact the Board if you are a licensed master electrician to see if you qualify for
a waiver for taking the exam.
HVACR – If you meet the requirements equivalent to Maryland and
hold a license in good standing in another state, you may qualify for a reciprocal license.
