Electrical - Minnesota participates in the Multi-State Reciprocal License Agreement and applicants may obtain a Journeyman Electrician license in any of the participating states if they obtained their license by examination in any of the participating states. The states participating in the multi-state agreement include: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. In addition, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska have individual reciprocal agreements at the Master Electrician license level.
Plumbing - if licensed in North Dakota or South Dakota must contact their state plumbing board to receive a Certificate of State Endorsement. The reciprocity agreements with the states of North Dakota and South Dakota apply to nonresident (not a resident of Minnesota) licensed plumbers who have passed the examination for plumber licensure in either North Dakota or South Dakota. City of Minneapolis - At this time, the only reciprocity agreement that the City of Minneapolis has is with the City of St. Paul.
