Licenses are required for general construction, with sub-classifications, building construction,
with numerous sub-classifications, electrical, electrical specialty, plumbing, and mechanical specialty.
Contractors only - In addition to the trade-specific examination(s),
you must either pass the Business and Law offered by PSI or take an "approved" Business
and Law Course.
You must pass the Business and Law examination and the Trade examination within 1 year. For
example, if you pass the Trade examination and fail the Business and Law examination, you must retake
and pass the Business and Law examination within 1 year of the pass date on the Trade examination.
