| General Info |
| A contractors license is required in South Carolina for any commercial
work that exceeds over $5,000 in value. Residential general work over $5,000 and residential specialty
work over $200 also requires a state license. Candidates are required to pass two examinations: business
and law and the trade. |
| Reciprocity |
| South Carolina has reciprocity with Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia,
and Texas. |
