License Exam Preparation

General Info

Licenses are required for Electrical and Plumbing projects. You will need to contact the Department of Labor and Industry for an application to qualify to take your exam.

Reciprocity

Electrical - Current reciprocal agreements include the States of New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts

Plumbing - To a person to whom a master plumber's license, a journeyman plumber's license, or a specialist plumber's license has been previously issued by another state or municipality therein, provided that state or municipality therein maintains a standard of requirements equivalent to those of this state and who presents satisfactory proof to the board that he or she is a bona fide master, journeyman, or specialist plumber.  An applicant under this subsection shall be exempt from examination only if he or she holds a license from a foreign state or municipality and if under the laws or regulations of the foreign state or municipality issuing the license a like exemption is granted to plumbers duly licensed under the laws of this state.
