General Info
Licenses are required statewide for electricians. All other construction trades are licensed at the local level. Contact your local municipality for information and applications. Electrical licenses are given by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Reciprocity
Master Electrician – Utah and South Dakota.

Journeyman Electrician – Utah, Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska.  For other states, if you have had your license for at least 1 year and passed an exam to obtain the license, you may qualify for a reciprocal license.
