In addition to the trade-specific examination, you may be required to pass the Business and Law Exam offered by PSI or take an "approved" Business and Law course
QUESTION: “What is the difference between the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the NEC Handbook (both published by NFPA)?”. The Handbook has the same content as the NEC book with additional drawings and explainations inserted.
The Handbook was designed for engineers and inspectors. The typical exam candidate should not use it as a prefered reference unless they are using it for inspection jobs in their day-to-day work.
We highly recommend that you purchase one of the two NEC index books above to study for your exam. Each book is a comprehensive subject index to the NEC. They provide an even faster way to look up subjects covered in the exam and are far more detailed than the index at the end of the code book.
The price is dependent on how many sets of questions you order and their content.
