QUESTION: “What is the difference between the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the NEC Handbook?”. The Handbook has the same content as the NEC with additional drawings and explainations inserted.
The Handbook was designed for engineers and inspectors. The typical exam candidate should not use it as a prefered reference unless they are using it for inspection jobs in their day-to-day work.
