In addition to the trade-specific examination, you must pass the New Mexico Business & Law Exam offered by PSI or take an "approved" course at PSI's Electronic Services Portal.
QUESTION: “What is the difference between the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the NEC Handbook?”. The Handbook has the same content as the NEC with additional drawings and explainations inserted.
The Handbook was designed for engineers and inspectors. The typical exam candidate should not use it as a prefered reference unless they are using it for inspection jobs in their day-to-day work.
