NOTE ABOUT UGLY'S VERSIONS: New copies of older editions of this handbook are usually are more expensive than a current version. Exam providers can use older older versions that are sometimes out-of-print for writing questions. We recommend that you purchase a version that matches the current adopted NEC code for Virginia which is the 2017 (as of July 1, 2021 adoption).
We highly recommend that you purchase one of the two NEC index books above to study for your exam. Each book is a comprehensive subject index to the NEC. They provide an even faster way to look up subjects covered in the exam and are far more detailed than the index at the end of the code book.
Sample questions are based on the PSI publication titled “29 CFR PART 1926 Selections, as of June 2013” (highlighted in green above).
This file contains approx. 800 sample questions.
REMINDER: PSI uses this book for many exams they offer. Not all sections of this code will apply to your exam.
We also include a table showing the relationship between our questions and OSHA code sections. Corrections to the original PSI publication are noted.
