NOTE: Our study material for this exam will NOT include sample questions for “Major Load Calculations” and “General Trade Knowledge” specifically because they can not be created from code books or statutes. This subject matter CAN be extracted from Ugly's Reference, Chapter 9 and Annex D of the NEC.
We highly recommend that you purchase one of the reference books above to study for your exam. Each book is a comprehensive subject index to the NEC. They provide an even faster way to look up answers in the code and are far more detailed than the index at the end of the code book.
The book above contains practical applications of the NEC such as Ohm‘s Law, series/parallel circuits, voltage drop, load calculations, motor phases, impediance, inductance and math formulas you are expected to know. “Basic Knowledge” and “Electrical Calculations” are subjects covered in the exam and are assumed (most likely not listed as a subject for electrical and mechanical exams of all types).
Questions are sourced from the NEC and Washington statutes shown above.
Informaion is included about additional free sample questions and links to essential sources of electrical calculations to assist in drilling for your exam.
Additional bonus questions are included from Ugly's Electrical Reference (2020) and The American Electricians‘ Handbook, 16th Ed.
The approx. number of practice questions in this package: 2,745
