CFR Title 29, Part 1926 Selections (OSHA), 2013, PSI
3.
Engineering Sign Structures: An Introduction to Analysis and Design, 1998, Benjamin Jones
4.

Additional Recommended Books
1a.
Ferm's Fast Finder Index, 2017, IAEI
1b.
Tom Henry's Key Word Index, 2017, Tom Henry
We recommend that you purchase one of the reference books above to study for your exam. Each book is a comprehensive subject index to the NEC. They provide an even faster way to look up answers in the code and are far more detailed than the index at the end of the code book.
2.
Ugly's Electrical References, 2017, Jones & Bartlett Learning
3.
Practical Calculations for Electricians, 2017, Ray Holder
Ugly's References contain practical applications of the NEC such as Ohm‘s Law, series/parallel circuits, voltage drop, load calculations, motor phases, impediance, inductance and math formulas you are expected to know. “Basic Knowledge” and “Electrical Calculations” are subjects covered in the exam and are assumed (most likely not listed as a subject for electrical and mechanical exams of all types).
NOTE: Regarding the versions of Ugly's Reference shown in the PSI bulletin: you should always choose a version that agrees with the NEC that you are using (as shown above). Older verions of Ugly's are often overpriced because they are out-of-print. This title can usually be found at a home improvement store like Lowe's or Home Depot in the same area where volt meters are found.

The button below will take you to the details about our 800 question Study Guides and provide you with a FREE "Reference Navigator" document that allows you to more accutately decide which sections of the federal code applies to your exam. PSI does not provide this information.
